yes the battery is on the right side, but I’m afraid to directly connect the positive and negative of the K7 without first disconnecting the battery terminals

Hi All – I am wiring the K7 into my BMW r 1250RT and I would like to know how to connect the red and black cables directly to the battery, Has anyone done it, recommendations and how to proceed and access the battery without causing damages
