Hi, Newbie here struggling with odd behaviour on my K5 camera. I’d really appreciate some advice please, if anyone else is familiar with the issue. I’ve previously owned the K3 for many years without any issues mounted on my Moto Guzzi Eldorado 1400.

The issue is a bit complex, but I’ll try and lay it out logically. There is also a linked video I’ve made below, showing the symptoms.

    Symptoms
The lights go off on the remote control at “random” intervals whilst riding.
No recordings are written to the card during the outage.

In the first part of the video below, the is bike running, but no lights are on the remote control. There is the usual voltage charge rate showing of about 13.7 volts.
The flashing blue light on the DC converter indicates the voltage is fine for the camera.
No videos are recording on the card, whilst the lights on the remote control are off.

In the second part of video, the bike is “not” running, but with ignition on for about 2 minutes.
No lights are on the remote control.
The battery is holding a charge of about 12.5 volts.
Again, the flashing blue light on the DC converter indicates the voltage is fine for the camera.

    My Testing
I have tested with 3 different high quality Sandisk mini cards and get the same results.

I’ve connected the Yellow switched power source wire to the DC Converter to three alternate locations, including parking lights, and number plate light. Road tested for about 30 minutes and still get the same results.

I’ve also tried temporarily connecting the Yellow switched power source wire directly to battery positive. Road tested for about 30 minutes and still get the same results.

    Hi Ian,
The fact that the blue LED is flashing indicates that the supply voltage is insufficient, or at least not enough to activate parking mode. To be sure, you can measure this with a multimeter. Then measure at the point where you connected the power supply, even though your motor measures 13.7 V.
Since the remote control isn’t working, you can check the connection. Is it still properly connected, is there no moisture in the connector, are the rubber rings still present in the connectors, and is the cable still intact and not too tight?
Do recordings still occur when you disconnect the remote control?
Have you formatted the SD card using the Innovv app?
Have you also managed to reload the latest firmware?
So it seems to be a combination of two problems: the power supply and the remote control.
