    Hi

I have a Tiger 1200 GT Pro which has a healtech thunderbox fitted including the switched live white wire so that satnav, top box powers up with just ignition on.Would the K6/7 simply connect and come on with just ignition by connecting the positive and negative cables to the thunderbox and not connect the the third wire as the thunderbox is on a switched live. Thank you

My understanding is that the K7 wants power all the time so it can perform parked functions when the bike is stopped. It then uses the second accessory power wire to indicate when you have actually turned on the ignition. Then it knows to perform all functions on your ride. I don’t think you want to upset that combination as you would lose parked functions completely.

Thanks for reply, so +ve lead to bike battery,-ve wire to negative on thunderbox side and third wire to +ve side of thunder box.

    Hi Ian,
Just make sure that the negative (-) wire you connect to the Thunderbox isn’t switched—leave it connected to the negative terminal at all times. Switching either the positive (+) or the negative (-) is a recipe for trouble.
But wouldn’t it be simpler to connect the negative (-) directly to the battery as well, since you’re connecting the positive (+) to the battery? You can have the Thunderbox switch the yellow wire.
