  • ACC1 or ACC2 for yellow wire install? – Innovv K6 on 2024 Svartpilen 401

    Hello,

I have a 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and i’m trying to wire the K6 to the battery.

Understand connecting the red and black wires of DC converter to Positive and Negative terminals respectively.

However, for the yellow wire, do i connect it to ACC1 or ACC2 (see screenshot). Google is telling me that ACC1 is always on and ACC2 is on when the bike is turned on (ignition). Where should the yellow wire be connected to?

    Thank you

If google is correct, then ACC2 would be the one to use.

Can you check with multimeter? If not, then try connecting yellow wire and see if the INNOVV K6 works correctly.

    Hi Isac,
The red and black wires should indeed have continuous voltage.
For the yellow wire connection, it’s best to measure ACC1 and ACC2 with a multimeter. I suspect one ACC provides voltage when you turn on the ignition but the engine hasn’t started yet, and the other ACC when the engine has started and is running. The preferred ACC is the one that comes on when you turn on the ignition without the engine starting. This way, you can use the K6 without the engine having to be running.

      Hi Hans<div>

With the multimeter, i have confirmed ACC1 is constsnt power even with ignition off, and ACC2 is power when ignition turned on

      Hi Isac,
Okay, good that you now know you need to use the ACC2 to connect the yellow wire of the K6.
      Have fun with your K6.

Thank you Hans – connected to ACC2 and works.

A question on the parking mode. How does it work on the K6 if its connected to ACC2, only turning on when ignition is turned on?

Wouldn’t it need constant power (ACC1) to record when parked/unattended? (in case there is an incident)

It has constant power on the red and black cables.

Yellow just triggers the K6 on/off for standard functions. Otherwise it sits in sleep mode unless it detects a vibration or colision.
