What do all the beeps mean? There is no key to understanding the beeping in any of the documents.

For example, on startup I hear 1 long beep and 9 short ones. Does that just mean it turned on successfully? Did it turn on, but has an error of some kind? Should it be beeping every time I turn it on? What about if those beeps repeat themself about a minute or so later?

I’m having all of this happen, but there is nowhere for me to understand what’s going on or what it means. Extremely frustrating that this is not covered in the documentation or FAQs.

    Hi Corey,
The long beep and the nine short ones are normal.
Repeating this after a minute is not good. It seems like the system is rebooting. This is also because your camera isn’t booting automatically.
Given your camera issue, I suspect there’s a problem with the power supply. It’s possible that your power supply isn’t supplying enough power, causing your RC6 to get stuck in a boot loop. This is especially true when Wi-Fi is enabled on the camera unit (this happens a few seconds after booting), which requires more power. If this power isn’t available, the camera will shut down and restart.

I find that if I turn the ignition on only, not the engine to access the Wifi app. After shutting down everything the unit continues to beep every few minutes. From Hans says it is rebooting because of low power. It shouldn’t be trying to boot at all if the ignition is no longer on. I feel this is a bug. The only way to stop the unit continually rebooting and draining your battery is start the engine and let the unit initialize properly. Then shutting down reverts to normal behavior.

      Hi Martin,

I’m not saying the system resets by default due to low power, but that it’s one of the possibilities that could cause your system to reboot. I’m also guessing what the cause might be because you haven’t provided much information about how you connected everything. The system shouldn’t reboot when the ignition is off. If it does, then something is wrong somewhere.

Where did you connect the power cables? The red, black, and yellow wires? Are the red and black wires connected directly to the battery?
