  • Black screen in Roadcam App

    I connect my H5 via wifi to my Apple Iphone 15 promax and then open up the roadcam app with a view to fine tuning the position of the camera on my helmet by using the preview in the app however, when I open the app the camera preview is just a black screen.

    I have followed all the suggested remedies like allowing permissions etc and I have even deleted the app and reinstated it.

    Nothing seems to work, all I get is that black screen. How can I cure this, anyone know?

    Hi Tony,
    You’re talking about the Roadcam app, but which app is that? Is it the Innovv H5 app?
    Innovv has released two apps, and for the H5, you need to use the Innovv H5 app.
    Can you adjust other settings using the app?
    Is the Wi-Fi LED on the H5 lit or flashing when you try to connect?
    Can you see on your iPhone that you have a Wi-Fi connection with the H5? You don’t have a VPN enabled when you connect?
    iPhones sometimes have trouble connecting to an Innovv camera. You can put your iPhone in airplane mode and then manually connect to the Wi-Fi connection with the H5.

      Thanks Hans,

      I haven’t connected to the H5 with my phone for a while and forgot that I had the H5 innov app on the phone.

      I used that app instead of the Roadcam app and everything is fine.
