    Unstable recordings on my K5

I’ve been experiencing issues with dead files and missing recordings on my K5 camera. In the past few days, I’ve noticed that the camera control light on the remote blinks randomly. While I haven’t observed any apparent pattern, it seems that the camera occasionally fails to record.

Additionally, I’ve encountered dead files. Some of these files are simply icons that display nothing, while others play the first 10 seconds of a video before freezing for the rest. However, the audio remains intact. This behaviour seems to be related to rain, as it only occurs when it’s raining.

I’m using a Scandisk Extreme Pro 512GG MicroSD XC1 card, which I’ve measured to have a write speed of approximately 95MB/s and a read speed of 90MB/s.

I’ve tried performing several resets and formatting the card using the app, but the issues persist.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or recommendations you may have to resolve this problem.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Hi Morton,
Can you check the connectors to see if they are dry? Since you have problems with rain.
Also check if there is a rubber sealing ring in the connectors, I think it is orange. Moisture in connectors can cause strange problems.
Behind the metal plate that is in front of the SD card there should also be a rubber sealing edge. If not, there is a chance that moisture can get into the main unit.
