Here we go again corrupted videos, still video capture with sound, I have just about had enough of the this camera system. this is under a year old and this is the 2nd system to go faulty, as the one on my RR went the same way. Firmware and reset done and a well known make of 256 sd card. Bike stood still recordings are ok.

    Hi Trevor,

Do I understand correctly that when the motorcycle is stationary the recordings will go well?
Have all parts been replaced compared to your first system?
Does this involve recordings from both cameras (front and rear)?
Has the K3 worked well before?

This is a brand new system fitted September last year, yes it was ok. Have change SD card to a well known branded make to no avail. Will see my guy when I get back to UK. System is unfit for purpose and therefor needs replacing under warranty.

Are there any solutions to this? Mine has started doing this too.

I’ve done a reset and my SD card is top end SanDisk.

Had two vans run a red light and nearly take me today out so went to review the clip.

Nothing but a distorted image that has half a purple screen sheen to it. The video is downloaded incase the app was playing up but all I’ve got is a purple image with no motion. There is no end time on the time line either but it does count up when you press play.

Only had it fitted 3 months and of that time it’s not had much use.

Hi Christopher, mine was a loose connection and I think it was the remote connection, check all your connections.

    Hi Christopher,

The purple image is clearly due to a camera problem. This could be a bad connection, try disconnecting the camera connectors and reconnecting them. This will clean the contacts a bit.

It may also have been caused by the camera cable being mounted too tightly. Vibration of a cable that is mounted too tightly can cause cable breakage.

Also check whether the rubber rings are present in the connectors of the cameras. These keep the connectors watertight.

To rule out that it is the DVR, you can swap the front and rear cameras. If the problem moves along, you know for sure that it is the camera and not the DVR.
