  • Dan I do firmware update with sd card larger than 32gb?

The smallest sd card that I have is 64GB. It is seen by the camera and camera was able to format it without issues.

I have tried to do firmware update using it without success.

    1. Checked in the camera settings if current firmware version is lower than the one visible at https://innovv.com/pages/innovv-k7-support (yes it is).

    2. Downloaded the bin file (there are 2 , I went with the one with 5G ending as my phone was displaying 5Ghz wifi connection with the cammera).
    3. Moved bin file to the sd card (renamed it to “IN-K7-1.bin” as mentioned in the manual, downloaded file had a name “IN-K7-1 (3).bin”

    4. Turned the camera off, placed the SD card, turned the camera on.

    5. Observed the lights – for a second or 2 both green & blue symbols on the pilot were blinking (as described in the manual). I expected that it will take longer.

    6. After green light was steady for some time, connected camera with the app. Unfortunatelly in the settings firmware version was unchanged.

    Questions:
    1. Should I not rename the downloaded file to the name stated in the manual?

    2. Or it is simple not possible to do a firmware update with a 64GB card formatted in the camera?

    3. If the 2nd point is valid – can I use smaller card formated in the camera or do I have to format it on my computer (I could not select FAT32, only exFAT on my laptop).

    Hi Adam,
5, Updates take much longer than 2 seconds. After the successful upgrade, the K7 will automatically boot up and the red light will be solid on. The firmware will be deleted once updating is finished.

Format the SD card before the update using the Innovv app.
Make sure the SD card is completely empty and place the update file in the root of the SD card.

    Questions
    1, renaming is not necessary
2, A 64G card is probably too big. Try a card between 8 and 32GB
3, You can format the card with the Innovv app.
