I have at times this issue: First time on, the Leds light up and record. After using for about an hour on the road, I turn off the ignition. I start up later, and the DVR Leds are not on. I have no recordings. The DVR is hot to the touch as if it had not powered down. I disconnect the yellow connector to the DVR for power, I think, for about 20 seconds. The DVR cools off. Next time starting bike up, the Leds light up normal. I have downloaded the 2.4 GHZ firmware and updated. Still having same issue. The SD card is a V30 card. Why should I disconnect the wire to reset ??

The K5 camera is less than a year old.

    Hi Johnny,
Did you connect the yellow wire to a continuous power supply?
The yellow wire should be connected to a switched power supply.
The DVR may get warm, but it should still be touchable. What happens if you disconnect the rear camera?
You might want to reflash the firmware. Has the K5 worked properly before?

The yellow wire is switched connected, checked with VOM. Have tried disconnecting rear camera and all works as should. WIFI shuts down now. I have powered on and off three times and all works as should with rear camera disconnected. Device Version: 1K5.5G 20210827.V1.1.12 App Version: 3.8.2(202508251552)

    Hi Johnny,
Do I understand correctly that the K5 is working properly again?
Or does the K5 only work properly when the rear camera is disconnected?
If the latter is the case, then the problem lies with the rear camera. My advice is to contact the seller of the K5 so you can claim a new rear camera under warranty.

    Thanks.

    Hi Johnny,
If you purchased the K5 from Innovv via Amazon, it’s best to contact Innovv directly at [email protected]. They can then tell you how to proceed.
