  • Edit Function Buttons not accessible on Samsung Galaxy Android phone

Wondering if anyone can assist here. The INNOV app (using on a Samsung Galaxy/Android) has a great function in the Edit feature select and download (or delete) multiple files at once, without having to select and do this for each file individually.

Unfortunately, the buttons in the app for delete, download etc are at the bottom of the screen, and are overlaid by the phone’s own home, screen select and back buttons. So when you go to press ‘download’ (for example) after selecting multiple files, you can’t not press the phone’s home button.

Has anyone else had this issue, and is there a fix that I’m not aware of?
Screen rotation doesn’t seem to work for the INNOV app.

I figured out the workaround if anyone else is having this issue. You can disable the navigation button at the bottom of the screen by switching to swipe gestures instead. This is changed by going to settings > display > navigation bar and then selecting swipe gestures there.

      Hi Grant,
      Thanks for the workaround.
I’m having the same problem with several Samsung phone models.
With an earlier version of the app (I don’t remember exactly which version), this problem didn’t occur.

@INNOVV could you please submit this complaint to the app developer?

iPhone lets you change font size which sometimes moves stuff to a better place. Not sure about Android.

I see the same issue, also on a Samsung (OneUI 8.0). I contacted INNOV support who basically shrugged (“it’s challenging for the app to achieve perfect compatibility across all devices”).

I’m guessing INNOV’s Android developers might not be across everything they ought to be; hopefully they’ll be able to sort it out. In the meantime, a workaround is to switch the phone to portrait orientation, this at least moves things around a bit to uncover some functions.

I tried switching orientations, but the app (at least for me anyway) doesn’t switch between a landscape and portrait orientation- it stays on portrait. The only workaround I could find was to change from home button display to gestures.

I just checked the orientation thing, and you’re right, the INNOV app is stuck on portrait when on the main app page; it seems to only respect the phone setting when in camera preview mode.

@INNOVV , it would be great to have the app UI fit within the phone UI, and also to handle landscape mode in all parts of the app.

I didn’t have this problem with an older version of the app. It should be possible to modify the current app to prevent this issue.

@INNOVV , see my email with more information.
