Have a K6, installed it roughly 3 weeks ago. First week it flattened the battery, dropped it to 4volt, nothing recorded to suggest what set it off.

Turned off parking mode and all was good. Turned it back on and it flattened it again. Happened to see the light on at 0100 this morning and turned it off. Tried bike in daylight and it’s flat again, 11 volt this time. Checked videos and it was recording for 11hrs before I found it. Again nothing to suggest what set it off. Camera overlooking the bike backs that up.

All connections are tight. 2 to the battery and yellow to switched live.

SD card is same as what innovv sell on site and was formatted. Firmware is also upto date.

Lights on unit do what their meant to according to the instructions.

    Any ideas ?

    Hi Steven,
The K6’s standby power consumption is very minimal. So it seems unlikely to me that the K6 is the cause of a flat battery.
But do I understand correctly that the K6 stays on when the ignition is switched off?
You can reflash the firmware to be sure.
What happens if you disconnect the yellow wire? Does the K6 still turn on spontaneously? Where did you connect the yellow wire?
The LED on the power module: what does it indicate at what time?
If you completely disconnect the K6, what happens to the battery voltage? Does it drop significantly or slightly after a day?

It is the K6 at fault. Didn’t happen before and doesn’t happen if I turn off the sentry mode.

It behaves exactly as it should except somehow the sentry mode gets triggered and it won’t turn itself off once it has.

    Update.

Flashed the firmware. No difference, have given up on the parking mode. Cant turn it off so just dropped sensitivity to minimum. Kept recording for no reason and wouldn’t record when it should, could take bike off stand and push it around and it wouldn’t trigger.

    No problems since doing that.

    Hi Steven,
The K6 doesn’t have parking mode. Therefore, it can’t be disabled in the app. The sensitivity of the G-sensor only affects accident recordings.
I suspect that there’s occasional leakage current flowing to the yellow wire, which then triggers the K6.
Can you check if the K6 still turns on spontaneously by disconnecting the yellow wire?

No power leakage. Is all fed from a relay box, if there was a leak auxiliary lights would also turn on.

    Hi Steven,
It seems more likely that the DC converter is causing the problem.
If the K6 is still under warranty, you can contact the seller to see if you can claim a new DC converter under warranty.
