I have a k6 dash cam just over a year old. I took the SD card out to download it’s content and since then the front camera has stopped powering up. I’ve tested the camera on external power, downloaded the latest firmware to the card but it still no longer powers up. Has anyone had similar or have any advice?

Amazon in March 2025, fitted in April and no hanging on to the power button hasn’t worked either.

Did it work on external power?

    Hi John,
Did you use an external power supply that can deliver enough power, at least 2A?
Is there a rubber ring on the cover near the SD card slot? If not, moisture may have gotten into the K6.
You can charge a phone using the USB-C connection on the K6 power supply; if so, the power supply is fine.
Try starting the K6 without the rear camera connected. And starting it without the SD card, does that work?

    Hi,

Minimum external supply was 3.1 amps and the power on the bike is fine as is the rubber seal on the connector. I’ve given it another try without the card but it’s still not powering up.
