  • GPS and WiFi blinking slowly?

    Hi!
I ordered K7 for my and my Missus’s bike and just finished installation on the latter. on my bike all worked perfectly, but on my Wifeys Sportster the GPS and WiFi -lights blink slowly. The cam works as it should, takes vids and pics, but the lights keep on blinking.
The Sportster has a very small fairing above the headlight and all the exessive cabling is wrapped in one bundle under the fairing, including the GPS. Since the H-D Sportster is a very raw and bare bike, under the fairing is the only place where I can hide anything, so no other location possible for the GPS.

What could cause the issue? Thanks!

    Hi Jere,
Slow flashing indicates that a GPS fix and a wifi connection are being sought.
Is there a lot of cabling on the GPS antenna? And is the antenna lying flat with the text facing up?
If you place the GPS antenna loosely on the motorcycle, so with a clear view. Do you then get a GPS fix?
Can you see the wifi of your wife’s K7 with your phone?
Try flashing the firmware again. You can choose to flash the 2.4G version. The wifi connection is then slower, downloading video takes longer. But a 2.4G is usually a more stable connection than the 5G.

The wifi is connected and I can change the settings on my wife’s bike with her phone just fine. The wifi light still blinks.
I’ll check the GPS antenna and try to remove the excessive cabling away from the antenna. I’ll do the same on my FLHX, as on todays ride it could not find the gps signal on either, the INNOVV nor the StreetGlide’s OEM nav system. I presume the GPS hiccup will be fixed with re-locating the antennas to better locations.

It still does not explain why the wifi blinks on the cam on my wifes bike, and that’s what I’d like to know. I’ll update the firmware tomorrow if I have time and let you know how it went.
