I don’t know why but I have hard time taking photos with K7. Most time when I quickly press the button twice I am getting a protected video.

Maybe in a firmware update there could be added an option how to operate the button? For me it would be better for:
1 short press = photo (currently 2 fast presses)
1 long press = protected video (currently 1 short press)
1 super long press (e.g. 1min) = factory reset (currently long press for 10s).

I am getting success rate of taking photos around 2 times out of 10 tries….

    Hi Adam,
Is it possible that you are not pressing the button far enough with the first or second click and that you are essentially pressing the button once?
Does the button bounce back properly after pressing? If it gets stuck a bit, the 2nd click may not be registered. Could it also be that the button is not being pressed properly due to your motorcycle glove?
The ‘click’ speed that works well for me is the same speed at which I double-click with a computer mouse.
An added option to the app could indeed be that you can choose what you want to do with one click and with a double click, photo or protected video. Perhaps also the option to set the double-click speed yourself?

@INNOVV, is this perhaps something to include in an update of the app?

Thank you for your message. It seems that I was doing the double tap to fast. And was trying to go faster when I was unsuccessfull. I have a far greater success rate with taking photo when taping the button twice slowly.

Neverthless I would welcome a configuration option in the app to set up button 1x press, double press, long hold etc. on my own as for different people different functionalities have higher priority 😉
