Issue with App
Posted by Mark on 2026-03-22 at 06:53When I open the app I am told to connect to wifi. I connect to wifi no problem. The camera shows solid green light. When I try to open any function on app it tells me to connect to wifi. Even though it is already connected. Camera operates as it should and is recording. Seems the issue is with the app. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Same problem. Has anyone else encountered this? Any help is appreciated.
TIA
Mark

Hi Mark,
I sometimes have the same problem with my Android (Samsung, Android 16) device.
What I do is close all open apps and screens first after establishing the Wi-Fi connection. I click the three lines at the bottom left of the screen and then select “close all”.
It also sometimes helps me to wait a moment (a few seconds) after opening the app before continuing in the app.
And if I first select the ‘Document’ menu within the app, it works fine afterwards.
As far as I’m concerned, this is a bug in the Innovv app.@INNOVV , could you pass this problem on to R&D?

Hans, I tried what you suggested with no luck. Still have the issue. I have messaged support. Hopefully they will be able to help. The app either has a glitch or there is a phone setting that needs to be changed.
The R6 board seems more active. So, I am going to post my question over and see what kind of response I get.

Hans,
I wanted to let you know I found the issue with the app not opening. Support suggested turning off mobile data and/or data roaming. That it can interfere with the wifi. I tried it with no luck. Here is what I figured out. I run Nord VPN/antivirus app on my phone. I first tried pausing the VPN feature, with no luck. So I deleted the Nord app off my phone. Bingo. The Innovv app opened right up and functioned as it should. There was some feature in the Nord app that was blocking the Innovv app.
Thanks for your reply and hopes this may be of help to you in the future.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the feedback.
I installed McAfee on my Samsung; I will check if removing it has any effect on me as well.

Thanks Hans. I will give that a try. I failed to mention my phone is a Samsung android. So hopefully what works for you will work for me as well.

I’m also having a similar issue, though on iPhone 17 Pro. Connecting to the camera WiFi is easy, I get an IP of 192.168.1.100 and a gateway of 192.168.1.254. I can access Settings occasionally and only once; If I make any changes at all I must restart the camera. I cannot access the camera feeds or any files stored on the camera.
I’ve only just fit the device to my bike having purchased it approximately one month ago.

Hi Ash,
Have you already tried putting your iPhone in airplane mode first and then manually establishing a Wi-Fi connection? iPhones sometimes have trouble establishing and maintaining a connection with the Innovv cameras. Additionally, a virus scanner or a VPN can also cause problems. If you can no longer change a setting, is the Wi-Fi on your RC6 still active? If the Wi-Fi timer is set to too short a time, the connection might be dropped too quickly.

Hi Hans,
I have resolved this issue.
The memory card was full. I’d used a camera from a different dash cam and not wiped the contents. The Innovv camera couldn’t write to the card, so none of the settings would save and no video footage would record.
Lesson for me: Always check your basic assumptions!

Hi Ash,
Thanks for the feedback.
The advice is also to always format the SD card using the Innovv app. That way, you can be sure that the SD card is properly configured for the Innovv cameras.Have fun with your Innovv camera.
