    K3 works, but wont connect to phone app via wifi

    Hi, i cant connect to my K3 to the app on my phone (which used to work fine before), all lights up normally but when i try to connect via wifi on my phone it say incorrect password. I tried formatting my SD card in fat32, downloaded the K3 bin file, and copied it to the SD card, i then inserted the SD card back into the K3 module, only the green light does not flash radically, it goes to solid green then followed by the GPS light then the Blue wifi light flashes. when i go to the app and press the video icon it says connect to wifi, i click accept then type in 12345678 as password, then the message “incorrect password” appears. I formatted the SD card and re: downloaded the K3 bin file twice, still the same issue. How can i fix this? Thanks

    Hi Peter,
    It looks like the firmware flashing isn’t going as it should. See this video to see how the LEDs should flash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGvg1051gPI
    Flashing might also fail if you use an SD card that’s too large. Try using an SD card no larger than 32GB.

    Hi Hans, i tried a brand new SD card, which is 28gb. I formatted the Card again and re installed the bin file. The bin file was downloaded from the Innovv web site “K3 bin” then immediately copied to the SD card which is in FAT32 format, the card was empty, still the same thing, Solid green, then flashing GPS the Flashing blue wifi, then when i try to connect it say “incorrect password”.

    I have fixed the password error.. 1st, i found a K3 bin file i had downloaded in Oct 2025 (i don’t think it has changed since). 2nd, I re: formatted the SD card again in FAT32, then i opened the SD card and dragged and dropped the K3 bin file into it. 3rd, with the motorbike ignition off I disconnected the power to the K3 cam module and “then” inserted the SD card into the K3 module under the seat. 4th, I reconnected the K3 cam modules power and turned on the motorbikes accessories, the K3 module began to install the bin file “the green video camera icon began to flash fast”. I waited 5 mins for it to completely install. Then using password 12345678 it worked.
