K3 keeps restarting (I think) and won’t connect to wifi
Posted by katchko on 2026-04-01 at 00:37I have noticed that the lights on the remote keep on going on and off in a circular manner (wanted to upload a video, but there is a problem with your server) and the phone can’t find the device wifi. What can I do?

Hi Doron,
How did you connect the power supply?
Did you connect the power supply as stated in the manual?
What color is the LED on the power module? Does it light up continuously or blink? Is there a noticeable difference when you start the bike or not?
Did the K3 work properly before? What happens if you remove the SD card?
Do you not see the K3’s Wi-Fi network on another phone either? -
Thanks Hans.
The unit used to work properly, but just lately I have noticed that the remote unite is blinking (as shown in the video) and that there’s no wifi.
The inner unit has a blue blinking light.
I took out the SD card but nothing happened.

Hi Doron,
a continuous reboot may also occur if the DVR cannot detect the front camera. So I would suggest to check the connection for the front cam. You could also disconnect the front cam and connect the rear cam to the front connector to check whether the fron cam is defective.

You can try reflashing the firmware. It may have become corrupted.
It is also possible that the power supply voltage has dropped too low; check this with a multimeter. You can also power the K3 with a power bank (minimum 2Ah) and see what happens. Be sure to disconnect the power module before connecting the power bank.
When the Wi-Fi module is switched on, more power is required. If this power is not available, the K3 switches itself off. If the yellow wire still has voltage, the K3 switches back on and the on-off loop starts again. -
Thanks. How do I reflash the firmware? I tried disconnecting the unit from the battery for few minutes, and nothing changed. I’ll try with the power bank and let you know.
Thanks Hans

Firmware update, see this link
https://innovv.com/pages/k3-dashcam-supportDisconnecting the power supply will have no effect if the supply voltage is incorrect. If you have the option to measure the supply voltage with a multimeter, I am interested to see what you measure with: – ignition off, – ignition on but engine off, – ignition on and a running engine.
Also check if the power supply connections are still in good condition: good contact, no dirt or moisture.innovv.com

Thanks guys for the quick responses. Not taken for granted.
I tried connecting the rear cam to the front one, but nothing happened.
I formated the SD card, flashed the firmware with the latest version, and then I could see the wifi on my phone. Unfortunately it went on and off so quick that I couldn’t connect to it, and the unit still rebooting it self.
I’ll try to see what voltage I get and let you know.
Really appreciate your help.

Ok, I measured the voltage.
Ignition off: 12v
Ignition on: 12v
Engine running: 14v
Does that make sense? Is it OK?
-
These voltages seem to be correct.
Can you check what the K3 does with a USB power bank connected? Do disconnect the power converter before connecting the USB power bank. This is to rule out whether the problem is caused by the power converter. -
OK! Problem solved.
The front cam and gps cables were disconnected for some reason 🤦🤦🤦
Thanks guys for the dedicated support.

Hi Doron,
Thanks for the feedback.
A simple solution…😉 But you can hit the road again with your K3.
Have fun with your K3
