I recently returned from Daytona and was looking for a video from late in the trip of an incident that happened. When powered on the app it would not connect and I could not find the wifi on my phone. I have an iPhone 17. I tried an old iPhone that I know it worked before and same situation. Unfortunately I don’t have any old androids to try. I used airplane mode as recommended and nothing.

I pulled the side cover where the power hub is located. It showed a solid blue when motorcycle was off and switched to blinking blue when motorcycle switched on. When I pulled the fuse it turned red briefly then faded. When I reinstalled the fuse the light went back to solid blue.

The remote control had some lights come on but went out after about 5 seconds. I did see the green camera but don’t remember seeing the wifi light up. I did try powering the DVR with a USB and still nothing changed.

I pulled the micro SD card and reviewed on my MacBook and saw is was recording videos most of the way through the trip but on the last day there are no recordings. During the trip nothing was changed on the motorcycle that could have caused an issue but it just seems to stop working.

    Any advice?

    Hi John,
It’s possible that a component of the K3 has failed, causing it to stop working.
You can disconnect the component individually (front camera, rear camera, GPS module, etc.) to see if the K3 boots normally. The K3 needs at least one camera to boot.
It appears the power converter is working properly.
You could also reflash the firmware to see if this has any effect.

Thank you for the reply. I did a firmware update with a new 32GB card as recommended and I believe it loaded as the remote indicator flashed irregularly green as noted it would. I still could not get a wifi signal. I tried disconnecting each item one by one (except the power cord) and still no wifi connection. The remote lights up with the green camera and the gps lights up briefly but then goes dark. The wifi indicator on the remote never lights up. I pulled the new 32GB card and checked on my computer and nothing was recorded on the new memory card.

At this point I believe I have a defective DVR unless you have other suggestions.

It is possible that only the power supply is defective.
When the K3 starts up and the Wi-Fi module is switched on after a few seconds, more power is required. If this power is not sufficient, the K3 will switch off again. You can try powering the K3 with a USB power bank (minimum capacity 2Ah). Make sure to disconnect the power converter first.
If this does not work, then it is indeed possible that the K3 has become defective. If it is still under warranty, please contact your seller.
