I’ve the K5 installed on my bike and if I look in the recordings , it only records from time to time. On a day trip I’m glad to have an hour of recording. I tried different brands of SDcards, different sizes, no cheap stuff, Sandisk, Samsung and lexar, fast cards its the same everytime. Only records from time to time. For me its a non reliable piece of junk that I probably will remove cause It isn’t doing what a dashcam should do, record.

I was wondering If I’m the only one with this issue.

    Hi Twan,
The recordings are not saved in the accident folder? IF so, then your G-sensor is too sensitive.
Failure of the K5 can have several causes. Think of loose connectors, no good supply voltage, incorrect connection of the yellow wire, connection via an eZCan that is not configured correctly, etc. etc.
Do you see the recording LED on the remote control light up all the time while driving? This is to see if there is no voltage interruption.
How/where did you connect the power converter? Is the blue LED on the power converter lit.
Are you able to measure the battery voltage while the engine is running?

    I’ve checked everything again.

Bluelight is burning, It started to blink for a moment when I turned off the power, but then it was steady blue again. If I wiggle with the unit, the connection onthe battery it wont blink.

The voltage on the bike while driving is around 14.2V

The yellow cable was connected, but I reconnected it, I saw the copperwiring so I changed it.

The power converter is connected directly on the battery.

But as you mentioned the recording LED isnt always steady. Sometimes while driving it starts to blink.

I’ll try it out one of the days to make sure, maybe it was the yellow cable. If not I’ll reconnect it from scratch.

    The power supply is good.
The fact that the blue LED flashes briefly should not be a problem.
The fact that the recording LED sometimes flashes seems to me to indicate a card problem.

Its a slow flash, so no recording. I just did a little ride to get some fuel and the first minute or so it records, then nothing anymore. flashing record button. When I started at the gasstation, solide light and again after a few moments it flashing. I checked the card and everytime I have to stop for traffic it records. So the card can be the problem if its not fast enough. If you stand still the image is almost not changing. I now replaced it. I’ll check it one of the days if that was the issue.

And its like you thought, I changed it with an other card and de light started flashing fast, I put in another card and now its working. Find it strange cause I used them before without a problem.

Anyway, for me its resolved. Thanx

    Hi Twan,
Thanks for the feedback and good to hear that the problem has been solved.
Maybe the SD card got corrupted and started to give problems. After all, an SD card is just a kind of piece of technology that can also break down.
    Enjoy your K5.
