    Hi,

Has any one fitted the K6 to their 2024 Triumph Street Triple R ? Any advice on wiring and placement would be appreciated. Mine will be delivered this afternoon.

    Thank you.

So I have fitted my K6 and now have a couple of issues. Went for an hours ride this morning and the camera recorded my ride fine.

    1) I can not play the downloaded videos on my iPhone 15 pro, I select a file and it just shows a black screen and does not play. If I remove the memory card and transfer the files to my pc the videos will play just fine.

    2) tried to connect my phone to the camera this evening and it connects to the cameras WiFi but the app says please ensure the device is connected. The camera is on and both the red and green lights come on but the green light turns off after a few seconds, the red light stays on continuously. I can not access the cameras files or settings via the phones app.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Darren,
Your iPhone may not be able to play MP4s.
Can you install the VLC media player app and check if you can play the videos on your phone with this app. If you have a virus scanner installed on your iPhone, can you disable it and see if you can play the videos?
You can download the videos on your iPhone, but you do not have access to the cameras files or settings via the phones app? How did you download the videos on your phone?

      Hi,

I initially downloaded the videos to my phone via the Innovv app.

Now I can not connect to the camera via my phone using WiFi, to access the videos or the settings.

    Hi Darren,

Did you change any settings in your phone in the meantime?
iPhones sometimes have problems making a (good) wifi connection with Innovv cameras. The advice is to put the iPhone in airplane mode and then manually make a wifi connection with the Innovv camera.
The link you added does not work properly. I only end up on the homepage of Imgur, not with your photo.
You can also add a photo directly to your topic, click on the camera icon. Your photo may not be larger than 5Mb.

Did not change any settings on my phone. I can connect to the cameras WiFi but it will not allow me to access anything within the app.

    Hi,

Just an update, I updated the firmware again and then when it had completed I reset the K6 and now it is working, I can now access the app, and all its features. I can even play the video files I have saved to my iPhone.

I seem to have another issue, when I plug the K6 into my laptop via the usb cable the laptop does not recognise it or see it for me to download the videos. I was hoping this would be quicker than downloading via WiFi.

    Hi Darren,
It may be that your laptop does not provide enough power to boot the K6.

      Hi Hans,

It has enough power to power it on and start recording, and to download the videos via the app.

    Hi Darren,
The original power/USB cable does not have a data connection in it.
The cable is only suitable for powering the K6.
You can see that there are only 3 connections in the orange connector. I think these are for the plus, the minus and the switched power supply. So downloading via the cable will not work.

Thanks Hans. Could I use a usb c cable plugged directly into the K6 to down load videos ?

    Hi Darren,
That is possible. After connecting you have to start the camera by pressing the button for a few seconds. If the camera is not started the computer will not detect the camera.

      Hi Hans,

Thanks I will give it a try. It’s a shame downloading videos via WiFi is sooo slow.

    That’s right.
Downloading is more suitable for downloading a single video and adjusting the camera settings via the app. The 2.4GHz connection is not suitable for downloading large numbers of large video files.
