Hi all, installed my K6 today on my Z1000SX.

Bit of an issue connecting to WiFi initially but looks like my healtech thunderbox doesn’t supply enough power so soldered into a switched live and no issues at all.

Rear camera installation was really straightforward but the front camera is a bit of a pain for a decent discrete location. At the moment I’ve got it attached to my mirror stalk but not a fan. I was going to put it in my fairing but it’s a bit too far back to get a good image of all the road.

Looked on Z1000SX owners but everyone seems to have a k2 or C5.

    So where’s everyone attached theirs

Hi Dean, have you connected the red and black wires to a permanent feed, and the yellow to switch live?

Sorry, not on a Z1000 so can’t really help with camera placement…

    Hi Adam.

Yep. Red n black direct to battery and yellow to a switched live. Tried to connect yellow to my thunderbox but couldn’t get a WiFi signal

      Hi Dean,
No Wi-Fi signal, how is your Wi-Fi timer set? It might be set to a time that is too short for you. However, when you turn on the K6, you should see the Wi-Fi signal for at least a few minutes.
Does the LED on the K6 show that the Wi-Fi is on after startup? If you are using an iPhone, try putting it in airplane mode and then try to establish a Wi-Fi connection manually.
It is also possible that the power supply cannot deliver enough power. In that case, the Wi-Fi module is not switched on (properly) either.

        Hi Hans,

        Thanks for the reply

All sorted now. Don’t think my healtech gave it enough power. Switched live now working perfectly

Wasn’t happy with it on mirror stalk.
