Hi members ,finally got around to fitting the k6 on my triumph tiger 800xc, red wire to + black wire to – and yellow wire to back light which comes live with the ignition ,when the bike isnt running the light on the power box is solid blue, when the bike is running the light stays solid blue and when you press the button on the camera the camera light stays red for a second then flashes twice and repeats this sequence.I was hoping that when I switched the ignition on that the camera would automatically turn itself on and start ,what am I doing wrong ?

    Cheers in advance

    Hi David,

It is correct that the blue LED on the DC inverter is lit continuously. This indicates that the battery voltage is sufficient for the K6 to function properly.

When the yellow wire is switched—in your case, by the back light—the K6 should start up. This startup can take about 5 seconds, so give the K6 some time. Next, the red LED should light up and the green LED should start flashing.

What probably happens when you press the button is that you create a protected video.

If the K6 does not start up when the ignition is turned on, check the yellow wire to see if it is actually receiving power. You can also temporarily connect the yellow wire to the red wire to check if the K6 switches on/off.

Hi Hans ,thanks for the quick reply ,how do I unprotect the saved video? When I use the app I just get a live box connected screen and it wont access the cameras

    Regards

Unprotecting the videos is not possible. A protected video can be played and downloaded, however. It will not be overwritten if the SD card is full and the oldest recording is overwritten by a new recording. If you want to delete protected videos, you must format the card using the app.

Can you add a screenshot of the notification? Because the notification looks unfamiliar to me. To view the live camera footage, go to the tile with the image of a video camera in the app.
You do need a Wi-Fi connection to the K6 if you want to do this.
