Hello, Installing the K6 camera on my KTM 890 duke R and need some clarification with wiring.

Under the seat there’s a constant live (acc1) and an ignition live (acc2), do I wire the red and black wires to the battery then the yellow switch wire to the positive of the acc2 positive wire?
Would that still drain the battery when not being used for long periods?

    Thanks, Dan

    Hi Dan.

Yes, red and black to battery (or other permanent power), yellow to a switched live.

It will draw a small amount of power when bike is switched off, but this is minimal.

If you don’t use an optimiser when bike is not used for longer periods, you could disconnect the battery.

    Hi Dan,
It is as Adam writes regarding the power supply.
The power consumption in standby is very minimal. With a battery in normal condition, you should certainly be able to leave the engine off for a few weeks. I have a K3 and a K5 connected myself and can even leave my motorcycle parked for 3 months with the alarm activated without any problems.
