K7 and Hex EzCan with parking mode enabled
Hello Guys,
I am a new owner of the InnoVV K7 dash cam. I mounted it on my BMW K1600GT where also the Hex EzCan is installed. I am not sure to have cabled the K7 in the right way but in order to have the K7 parking mode function working, I connected the K7 as follows:1- The black and red wires from the K7 to the black and red wires of the motorcycle battery directly
2- The yellow wire from the K7 to the solid colored wire of one of the 3 wirse plug of the EzCan (in my case, I sued the yellow plug and I connected the K7 yellow wire to the EzCan yellow wire)Was I right to use the yellow wire of the EzCan or did I have to connect the K7 yellow wire to the stripe colored wire of the Ezcan (in this case white/yellow wire) ?
Is there any kind of protection so that the K7 parking mode doesn’t work if the charge of the motorcycle battery is low?

Hi Diego,
I have no experience with the Hex EzCan. But for the switched power supply on my K1600GT (2018) I used the round connector under the passenger seat. This is the connector used to connect the topcase. It is the red / yellow wire.
After the ignition has been switched off, voltage remains at this connection for 60 seconds.
The K7 is, if properly secured against draining the battery.
On my BMW I have no problems with draining the battery. I have a K3, K5, ThirdEye and an alarm system connected. I can start the motorcycle without any problems after a few weeks of standing still.
