  • K7, and N1 Pro refuse to talk to the app

For some reason the K7 refuses to be recognized as WiFi connected. It shows connected in settings-WiFi but the app keeps telling me to mak3 sure it’s connected.

I’ve tried restarting hardware, restarting the app and even reinstalling the app.

I’ve tried with bike power on, and also in accessory mode.

    I’m stumped.

2022 Goldwing with K7, N1 Pro and RC6 for doing reviews. I’ve tried with only the K7 powered.

    Hi Bob,

did you try switching your smartphone to airplane mode? Some phones do have problems accessing the K7 (or any other wifi dashcam) when not in airplane mode.

I am an idiot. Or, lets call it a “learning experience”

2 things….. I put the cd card in my pocket to go to the garage to install it in the K7 2 days ago. Today, it was still in my pocket…. dohhhh! I rode all day with no warning it was not recording.

Then, for demos I have 3 devices powered on, and it seems that when I connect wifi to say the RC6… the K7 wifi bumps it off.

So, if I 1) Install an SD card and 2) turn off the devices I am not communicating with… it works.

But that mess did reveal a few language issues on some of the messages.

If the SD card is missing, the same message as no wifi is issued. So an empty slot looks like a wifi issue.

      I will let Rock know.

      Thanks for pitching in though!

I also just installed the K7 and N1 Standard on my Piaggio MP3 310S 2025 and having isues understanding how to connect “cleanly” to the K7.

Both devices have SD cards. I have the INNOV app installed.

      This is my symptom.

      1. Put the phone to aeroplane mode.
      2. Turn on the bike from the ignition.
      3. N1 boots up, and K7 connects up with the Wi-Fi as the blue wifi light starts blinking.
      4. N1 connect to CarPlay and shows the CarPlay on the screen.
      5. I open INNOVV app to view the videos on K7, it gives me the error saying “make sure it’s connected to wifi”.
      6. I go into the Wi-Fi settings and switch to K7, then go back to INNOVV app
      7. The INNOVV app connects for about 5 seconds, and I can enter the videos, but then the N1 wifi overrides it, reconnects CarPlay and disconnects the INNOVV app.

I have no way of “disabling” CarPlay and no way to turn off the N1.

The N1 and K7 are connected through the INNOVV Power Hub 3.

To be honest its a bit of a nightmare and fidgeting about to view the videos, when my assumpiton was you just connects two different apps.
