    Hello people!

I have a INNOVV K7 mounted on my GSA 1250 and one day after a ride the unit decided not to boot anymore. The remote is displaying no lights.
    – checked fuses, intact

    – checked video, last video seemed to have ended properly (saved after the motorcycle stopped)
    – the unit is connected to the RDC unit terminal, so it starts only when the motorcycle has power switch on

    – tested connection with the yellow wire to the battery positive terminal to test it, nothing changes

What could be the cause? The device is less than an year old…

    Thanks,

    Andrei

    Hi Andrei,
It seems that only the remote is not working. After all, it is still recording if I understand correctly.
Have you checked the connector of the remote control to see if it is properly connected and if it is also dry on the inside?
What if you get the power supply directly from the battery, so not via the RDC unit?

      Hello Hans,

Actually the last video is from a few days back. I’ve ridden multiple times since then but no recent recordings.

Also checked all connections, all are snug and well fitted

I can only add a question on checking connections. Did you use a voltmeter to assure power is available? Or did you just look at the physical connections? A break hidden by the insulation would cause your symptoms exactly. Perhaps a wire got stretched?

    Hi Andrei,
Try to connect the K7 directly to your battery.
You can also disconnect component by component (remote control, front camera etc…) to see if one of these components is defective and blocks the K7 from starting.
To find the cause of the fault you will have to try a few things.

Today I did one more test, a conclusive one I’d say.

Connected the unit to a friends K7 accessories, same issue.

Connected friends unit to my accessories, works perfectly.

Seems that my main unit died…

    EDIT:
Also tested directly to the battery

    Hi Andrei,
    Too bad the DVR broke.
Since your K7 is not even a year old, you can try to claim it under warranty from the seller of the K7.
Hopefully you will have a working K7 again soon.
