    Hi all.

    K7 power connections

    Can someone help me out?

    The manual says:

cable 23: ACC Wire (offers 12V switch Power Source After Ignition)(Yellow Wire) (ACC = Accessory)
cable 24: Positive terminal of Power Supply (Red Wire)
cable 25: Negative terminal of Power Supply (Black Wire)
Red and Black: to enable Parking Mode.

IF I use the Red and Black cables than
    a. the battery power will get low! OR will the battery loose just a little power?
    b. the K7 will always be ON?
    c. what is the use of the Yellow cable if red and black are connected so the K7 is always on?

    d. IF I also connect the Yellow cable do I need to disconnect the red or black cable? (I assume that the K7 will get two times power when both the Yellow and Red/Black cables are connected??? OR is the K7 switching between the Yellow and Red/Black when I power the motor on or off???

    e. IF I don’t want the Parking Mode then it is sufficient to only connect the Yellow cable?

    This looks confusing to me.

The K7 always uses red and black for powering the device. The yellow is simply seen by the K7 as just a signal the bike is running. No power on the yellow is used to operate. When you turn off the bike, the yellow wire goes dead so the K7 knows it is in parked mode. It then continues to use power on the red and black for the G sensor and when cameras are turned on by a jolt. If the voltage falls below a certain voltage it turns off totally. I believe it cuts all power when voltage drops to 12.5.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi John,
Your battery will not run out. The K7 requires a minimum current when idle.
If the voltage drops below 12.5V, the parking mode will be disabled to prevent your battery from being drained even more.
The yellow wire automatically switches the K7 on and off. So you cannot forget to switch the K7 on and off. The yellow wire is a control wire, the voltage that the K7 needs to work comes via the red and black wire. So you have to connect all three wires.
You can switch off parking mode in the app. Given the minimal power consumption, I will leave it on.
If you switch it off, you will see that you need a parking mode recording at some point, and then you do not have it.

Thank you for the clear answer. Much appreciated. This is not clearly mentioned in the manual. Regards, John
