Hi everyone, since the forums seems to have been wiped since the update, I figure I would re-post this!

JK3D.us makes specialized Saphire Lens Protectors just for the INNOVV action/dash cams. I have been making and selling these since 2021! Hundreds of people have ordered and are using these every day. Since the front element of the K5 camera is built into the DVR unit itself, replacing a scratched or damaged lens is expensive, and time consuming to ship back for repair.

The JK3D.us lens protectors have built in soft TPU seals to keep water, humidity, and dust from getting between the lens protector and the camera lens. Something no other option provides.

This solution gives you an incredibly hard and optically superior protection from dirt and rocks from scratching the lens. Now you can wipe off dirt and dust on-the-go without worrying about scratching the delicate camera lens!

    You can order at: https://jk3d.us/product/jk3d-actioncam-lens-protector-v2/

    JK3D.us ships internationally daily.
    Fitment:
JK3D.us sells protectors that go on the K5 front camera, as well as the K5 Rear camera (which is the same as the K3, K2, C5 series of cameras)
Lens options are Saphire for incredible durability and clarity, or mineral glass for more basic protection against the elements.

Since I cant edit the OG post – the V3 of the lens protector is now available. A little more streamlined, but updated to support the K6 now as well! https://jk3d.us/product/jk3d-motorsports-camera-lens-protector-v3/

      Hi Morten,

There are some key steps to resolve that ( as highlighted in the instructions on the JK3D.us site)

First, and most importantly, the seal has to be tight, push firmly on the lens protector body back against the camera while you are tightening the lens protector. Ensuring the Crystal is seated fully in the front of the lens protector.

Second, when you install it, you need to do it when everything is completely dry. Any moisture captured between the camera and the lens protector will result in condensation and wont be resolved until everything is 100% dry. My recommendation is to let the camera, the lens protector and the seal sit in the sun on a warm day when installing. Installing on a rainy day, or with high moisture will result in what you are seeing.

You can also try to blast a quick shot of canned air/duster between the lens protector and the camera just before you place the lens protector on to remove any moist air that is left there.

I have people who use these in Singapore, Thailand, Florida, the UK, etc… all of which ride in a ton of rain and humid environments and have no issues once these processes are followed.
