For the good — my K6 takes some very good videos.

For the bad — I don’t have a clue if it is taking those videos reliably.

I have my K6 set to loop. I’ve tried it both on 1 minute and 3 minute durations.
The memory card was formatted in the INNOVV app.
The SD card is one of the fastest and the recordings it takes are good, so that isn’t the problem.

But when the card fills, the camera stops. There might be a light flashing, but since the K6 is mounted under the headlights on my motorcycle, it’s kind of hard to see.

I just came back from a long road trip to California. I bought the K6 as a dash camera, which should be an “install and forget” camera to be used in case I got into an accident. I also thought it was a nice additional benefit that it would capture good quality video to occasionally share with others. I got home on 8/19 and found out it had quit recording on 8/16.

As a dash cam, that’s worthless.

So are there any suggestions on how to fix this? I’m using the app to format the SD card. The SD card is a top of the line SanDisk. It’s recording fine…till it fills the card and then it won’t loop.

    Hi C,
Could you clear the cache in the Innovv app?
Is ‘Normal’ listed under ‘Card Detection’?
How is the K6 switched on and off? Does this happen via the yellow trigger wire?

Hans, at this point the situation has deteriorated to where I can’t get it to keep working for more than 15 seconds.

I cleared the cache and data. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the the app. I’ve changed SD cards and have been able to get the app to format each card. Nothing makes a difference any more.

At 10-15 seconds, the camera shuts down.

As for power, I’m on vacation with the family (and the bike is at home), so the yellow wire shouldn’t make any difference. I have a USB C cord plugged into my laptop to provide power. The power is good…it just won’t keep running. I’m pressing the button on the camera to get the red light to come on, then double-pressing the button to get the wi-fi to come on.

    Hi C,
It could be related to the power supply.
Because when the K6 boots up, it takes a few seconds (not timed, but it could be 10 to 15) before Wi-Fi is enabled. Currently, when Wi-Fi is enabled, it requires more power. If this extra power can’t be supplied, the K6 switches off again.
Also, not every laptop can supply sufficient power to the USB port.
