I’ve installed my K7 in the boot of a 4th gen MX5, the main unit is behind the felt trim. This makes accessing the SD card a bit of a chore.

I’ve found and have been using an SD Extension cable that I thought i’d mention in case it is useful for anyone else. These are available in many lengths, I think I have 48cm.

I attached it to the tank shield with 3M transfer tape and Velcro to the body of the car.

It is tucked out of sight and also convenient to access the SD card.

The interesting thing is that it does not work on a PC, but works fine with the K7.

At any rate, I thought I’d share it in case it is useful for others.

    Hi PFM,
    Thanks for sharing the info.
This is a great solution for a dry environment.
What has your experience been regarding susceptibility to interference when recording at the highest resolution?

So far I haven’t noticed any interference. My GRMS is located near it (not the antenna though.)

I only record 1080 with stabilization, not a higher resolution.
