Microphone Extension Cable

Hi PFM,
There is no standard extension cable for the microphone.
If you are handy, or have a handy acquaintance who can solder, they can extend the microphone cable by soldering a cable to it.

Thanks. I’m pretty good with soldering and could not do this. The heat from soldering seemed to melt the insulation on the fine wires, shorting the 2 conductors together.

I’m going to locate the mic in a reachable location with the standard length cable.

Hi PFM,
I mounted my microphone on my handlebars myself. In my situation, this is a position where the microphone is reasonably sheltered from the wind because I have a large dashboard and screen. As a result, I experience less wind noise. Make sure the foam cap stays on the microphone. Without it, you will have much more wind noise in your recording.
