Mirrorlights not working
Hi guys, i had water get into one of the red lights, so it was flickering and then died. Ordered replacement for left and right. I have plugged them in and they do not work 🙁
The sounder can be turned off and on with the LHS unit speaker toggle, so I know it is ‘connected’ The radar and sound work fine.
Voltage is good, 12.4v at rest. Contacts are clean. Has ther been a hardware update? – same connectors. Unit annoyingly 13 months old, so no warranty.
Any ideas? – otherwise I will annoyingly have to replace the whole lot, as I have grown to love the unit.

Hi James,
As far as I know, there have been hardware updates. On my unit, the red lights are connected directly to the main unit and not via a plug, as I understand from your explanation. So it’s possible there are multiple hardware types. But Innovv should be able to tell you.@Inn
@INNOVV are there different hardware versions (besides the mirror and watch versions)?
Did you replace both lights, or just the one that failed?
Does connecting them the other way around still not work?
It’s possible that only the lights were damaged by the moisture. You can try drying them by placing them in a sealed container with a hygroscopic material for a while, or by drying them for a long time in an oven. But it’s possible that the control box also failed due to a short circuit in the light.-

Innovv quietly released a V2 of the third eye, so the replacement mirror lights on their website don’t work with the V1.
I purchased a V2, identifiable by the square radar transceiver. As opposed to the round on the V1.
£200 later – Installed and working fine. Now, I have a ‘spare’ set of lights for the mirrors, which were the originals in the V2 box. Although I hope the quality control has improved, and they don’t suffer from water ingress again.
Hope this is of some use to people – Summary – if you order replacement lights these days, they don’t work with the V1 Third eye with the round radar transceiver.
Irritating, but nonetheless, once you have the third eye system and use it, you wouldn’t be without it.
