New K6; no recording
I am sorry for any duplication. I posted a thread in the wrong forum when this is the correct one I would be in. I bought the K6 and one of the BMW dealers I go to installed it for me. They put the front camera a little off center and the rear camera to the left of the license plate.
I bought the K6 and a SanDisk 256GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card to be used with the camera.
I got home and while I was able to connect to the WiFi, I can see through the camera, but I can’t seem to record because I am getting a message on the screen that says “Camera not inserted into SD card”. And in the settings, there is nothing listed in the Storage category and the card detection is showing “card removed”. The dealer installed a new 256GB card that I supplied. Does the application have to format the card? Is that why isn’t not being seen?
And if the SD Card does need to be formatted, where in the app is that done?
Any help would be great.

Thanks for sharing the photos.
Click on the text “Format”, and the SD card will be formatted.
It’s best to always format the card using the Innovv app.
To be sure, check whether the SD card is inserted and that it is inserted correctly.PS, I deleted your post in the wrong forum.

Thanks for your help with my issue. I did check the existing micro SD card (the 256GB that I bought) and it appears to be inserted correctly. I did purchase a different micro SD card. It’s a 128GB instead of the 256GB and I inserted it into the camera. I was thinking that a smaller card might work better.

I opened the app and tapped the arrow next to “Format” </font>and<font face=”inherit”> I am getting a message that says “Format Failed”. I captured a screenshot which is attached.</font>
<font face=”inherit”>I should mention that the red light is flashing during this process. According to the indicator instructions, I believe it’s a “TF Card Faulty”. I got this with both micro SD Cards.</font>

Hi Kenneth,
You could also try formatting the card on a computer first. This also checks whether the card is functioning properly. If this works, try reformatting the card in the camera.
The number of GB shouldn’t affect the card’s performance. What’s more important is that the read and write speeds are sufficient, with a writing speed higher than U3.
Also check that there’s no debris in the card slot and that the card is properly inserted. The SD card must be pushed all the way into the slot so that it clicks into place. The card will no longer stick out of the slot. To remove the card, push it back in, and it will click out of the slot.
If the problem persists, contact the seller to exchange the K6 under warranty.
