I’ve just installed a K6 system to my BMW R1250rs, I’ve just played back a short video taken in the garage with just the ignition on and there is a rapid ticking sound on all the video clips? Any ideas? (replayed on Macbook air using an SD card reader)

    Thanks.

    Could it be electrical interference?

Possibly, trying all scenarios today, bike power, usb power, engine running etc. I’ll report back later.

I’ve tried various scenarios, bike running, bike off. Powered by bike, powered by USB and ended up with the rapid ticking stops when you hold the camera and starts again when you let go. This is the same when the camera is mounted to the bike or when its hanging off it’s mount. (I’ve modified a Drift camera quick release mounting). Submitted to Innovv to see if they can help.

    Hi Harry,
If the ticking stops when you hold the camera, I suspect it’s a capacitive issue. This could indicate an electrical fault.
Check the entire power supply and make sure the connectors aren’t touching (negative) ground.

Hi Hans, thanks for that. There’s no connection problem as it was plugged into a power bank with the supplied usb lead, and is the same when connected to the bike. I haven’t tried holding the rear camera to see if I get the same effect, I’ll try that tomorrow.

Update;- holding rear camera does not stop the ticking!

      Regards

      Harry.
