    I’ve just purchased the k3.

Firstly upon arrival there were no mounts in the box, these have since been sent and arrived today.

I’ve set everything up and installed as per instructions.

There however appears tbere is no power going to the dvr/ control box. So the remote is not lighting up/ powering up

The invertor is showing solid red when off, when the bike is turned on this goes out, and when turned off flashes blue, this is correct according to the notes on the invertor.

Whilst running/ turned on there is no light showing on the invertor, I’m assuming this is correct.

I’m a bit fed up now to be honest and I’m thinking maybe I’ve been sent a broken one that has been returned ??, especially with the parts missing.

I’m going away touring in just over a week and was hoping this would be set up and running, clearly it isn’t going to be.

    I’m hoping I haven’t just wasted

    £299 on this.

    Hi Mark,

Was the seal on the package broken? Then the packaging has been opened.

A red LED means that the supply voltage is too low.
If you start the bike and no LED lights up, this is not correct.
The fact that the blue LED flashes after the bike is turned off is also a sign that something is wrong. What did you connect the yellow wire to, on a contact switched power supply?
If the LED flashes red and blue, the supply voltage is around the tipping point of 12.5V.
Did you connect the red and black wire directly to your battery?

Can you measure the battery voltage with a multimeter? What is the voltage when the bike is off and what is it when the bike is running?

Can you also connect a power bank to the USB connection on the DVR? Then disconnect the DC converter. Will the K3 turn on? The power bank must be able to supply at least 2A.

During normal use (good battery voltage), the blue LED always lights up continuously, both when the bike is switched off and when the bike is running. If the battery voltage becomes too low when the bike is switched off, the red LED lights up (parking mode is then switched off).

    Hans

    Many thanks for your reply.

I can confirm there was no seal at all on the box when it arrived.

The voltage on my battery is good.

Yes I connected the black and red wire direct to my battery, and the yellow to a switched live ( my headlight drl)

I will try the powering you suggested later today.

The converter definitely shows a solid red, then nothing whilst running, and flashes blue once when I turn the bike off.

I’m ow thinking after your reply I may have been sent a returned faulty set up.

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for your information and sorry for the inconvenience.

All brand new K3 should be with mounts included and INNOVV will never sell returned product to any customers.

Could you please send your invoice to email [email protected].

We will do our best to support.

    Best regards,

Jade, I will send a copy of my invoice to the e mail for you.

I will also contact the uk supplier first thing Monday morning. Also see below reply to hans.

    Hans

Voltage is all good, I’ve been through everything with a multi meter today, 12.65 from the battery, switched live is as it should be.

Now, the unit powers up and works as it should using a power bank.

So it has to be the dc convertor that is faulty, especially as the lights showing are nothing like they should be.

Hopefully I’ll get a replacement ASAP for this part and fingers crossed we’ll be good.
