Good camera. Tested in dry weather only and will do the job. Longer battery than a go pro for sure and the unit will record my whole training ride from start to finish.

The mount that comes standard with the K6 bicycle unit that goes under the seat and attaches to the seat rails is good enough for dry weather but as soon as it rains will make the camera useless.

The K6 bike mount lines up the camera directly in line with the rear tire which will spray the camera all day long with water unless you have some sort of a fender. I dont ride with one and dont plan on riding with one.

The camera is attached to my “good” bike and only see’s dry weather but i would like to buy another camera for my commuter/shopping/touring bike that also could benefit from a camera system since i spend a lot of time on that bike as well. I go shopping on it and travel 20 miles total just to go food shopping. The road i am on is an A road in the UK and they drive like maniacs on it.

I supposed i could attach a semi permanent plastic one that i can take off but a more permanent solution would be to offer some sort of CNC’d aluminum bracket. One that is off center and keeps the camera away from the spray. It would not have to be offset by much.

Or a bracket that attaches to the bike’s rear quick release. That would be even better as that area does not see much water at all. I would much prefer a bracket that attaches to the rear quick release.

My neighbour is a metal fabrication worker so gonna ask him if he can come up with anything.

The front camera i have attached via a K-Edge. Garmin GPS on top and the camera below.

    Hi Shiz,
I understand your problem. If you place a cover under the camera, there’s also a chance it will be visible.
One thing to be aware of with an extension arm is that it can amplify vibrations from your bicycle. It’ll be a matter of experimenting with the type of bracket and where you’ll mount it on your bike.
I’m very curious about your solution. Other K6 users might also benefit. So if your neighbor has made something that works, we’d like to see the photos and share your experiences.

The vibrations transmitted from the under the seat mount compared to an offset mount would be similar. Both systems are bolted to a fixed point.

I dont think i would be able to tell the difference.

My neighbour only deals with thick sheets of metal that need bending for large industrial applications.

If i want the camera to attach to the quick release system of the rear axel then i need to make it myself somehow.

You might want to address the third party lens cover market that is taking money from you as well
