Hi!

I’m at my wits end – Can’t get this thing to video!

I had the unit professionally installed by a Harley Dealership as I’m not an electrical wiz kid

I have a 512GB Micro SD card – U3 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DSVTSTY4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I have flashed the unit with today’s K7 firmware – IN-K7-1.BIN

The green video light constantly slow flashes (about 2 seconds) when I power up the unit – Video here & attached: https://youtube.com/shorts/klZBxTosmTc?feature=share

When I connect the app (Android) the live videos feed is blank and nothing recorded on the unit in the Document section

I have reformatted the card with the app – 3 times now

I have reset the device from within the app

I have turned off the G-Sensor

I have checked all the cables to ensure they are not loose, all seem connected OK

I have wiggled the control button to make sure it is not stuck in

Just once, for a few minutes though, it DID WORK, then stopped again!

I haven’t even ridden the bike yet with it working, just trying to get it to record while in my garage.

Very frustrated

Please help 🆘

Not sure I can help but i believe Innovv states 256mb is the max but why that would cause this is uncertain.

If there was a short in the wires to the buttons maybe it thinks the button is depressed constantly. Look for signs of distress on that cable. It may have been pulled past a sharp obstruction.

Similarly if the power cables are damaged maybe it is in a constant state of startup.

I’d go talk to the tech and confirm how he powered it.

Is your bike using a smart wiring scheme? If so, you need an isolator to get a clean voltage To connect to my Goldwing I installed a box allowing me to get a constant 12 v with no other signals on it

The strange symptoms you have may be caused by data signals on the wires

I’m tapped out!

Hi Mark,
The flashing blue LED indicates that there is no Wi-Fi connection. Without a Wi-Fi connection, you cannot watch or download videos.
The slowly flashing green LED means that a protected/accident/parking video is being saved. This is not saved in the standard folder, but in a special folder. Check if the recordings are there.
A protected video is saved when the button on the remote control is pressed. It’s possible that the remote control is defective, causing a video to be constantly protected.

Today I got this TF Card: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BBKPPVPQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

VIOFO 256GB Industrial Grade microSD Card, U3 A2 V30 High Speed Memory Card with Adapter, Support Ultra HD 4K Video Recording

I got the same results eg. most of the time the green light flashes and doesn’t record. I found that when I moved the DVR one time, it did start recording with the same TF card in it…and then when I switched the bike off and on again, it stopped recording and went back to the green flashing light with no video again.

So I have proved it’s not the TF card and I have proved that the DVR device very occasionally works for a short time, most of the time it doesn’t work at all. I haven’t even been able to get it working and ride the bike.

I’m so disheartened after watching all the reviews I thought this would be great. Looks like I’ll have to rip all the cables out and return it to Amazon. 😒

What is the year/make/model?

Did you ask the tech if he used an isolator for power?

Hi Mark,
The K7 supports cards up to 512GB.
The K7 is not sensitive to CANbus communication. An isolator is therefore not necessary. Try to determine where the (switched) power supplies are connected.
If you insert the SD card into a computer, can you see if anything is being saved to the SD card at all? Also, check the contents of all folders on the SD card.
Moving the DVR can be seen as a trigger for parking mode or accident recording. Parking mode recording or accident recoding also produces a slowly flashing green LED.

By the way, ‘Kindle’ displays the message ‘We’re sorry. We weren’t able to load the preview.’ I don’t know what you were trying to post, but it’s not visible.

Hi Hans

I posted the link to the TF Card I ordered from Amazon. The forum software decided it was ‘Kindle’, not me.

I moved the DVR when the kit was off, obviously.

There is nothing on the card as the device is not recording, in any folder, anywhere.

I’ve given up with the thing! I paid a professional technician to install the hardware and it’s faulty so now I have triggered a return with Amazon and spent my evening trying to remove all the professionally wired and embedded cabling and devices. Needless to say I am not happy and have wasted money getting it installed.

I did this after also having an email conversation with Steven Hu in sales.

I am one unhappy biker right now who is done with this product.

-Spent money on a professional technician to install the kit (I believe correctly)

-Bought three TF cards in the end to prove it wasn’t that

-Spent many hours reading forums, posts, internet articles, YouTube clips on fixing the fault

-Spent many hours running many diagnostic checks and kit inspections to ensure every Innovv Install directions are followed

-Now spent another evening removing all the kit, packaging it all up, ready for UPS tomorrow.

I thought about ordering another to prove it’s the kit, but to be honest, I’m sick of the sight of it now.

Done.
