    Split power from unit

Posted by Marco on 2026-07-19 at 16:40

I’m trying to find a connector to split the power coming from battery and use it as USB port. The idea is to add a short cable to graph the current without modifying the original ones.

I suppose it’s feasible but I cannot find the specific connectors male and female (it should be M8 4 pins).

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Marco,
It looks like an XS9 connector, but not exactly.
On the other hand, if you are handy with AMP connectors or soldering, modifying the cable shouldn’t be a problem.
You could also inquire with Innovv whether the power cable is available separately. The cost won’t be an issue, and then you can modify this cable without any problem while keeping the existing cable original.

By the way, I am curious why you want to measure the current.

Thanks, I will ask directly to innovv. I don’t want to measure the current but use it to supply another USB port.

I think it’s not an XS9 because it’s missing the small flap.
