Thunderbox/K6 powering up issues
I’ve bought a Thunderbox TB-U01 so I could quickly install my Innovv K6 Dash Camera and save me soldering the yellow ignition wire to my bike wiring.
The Thunderbox installs to the battery with no problems & the green light flashes.
I installed the dash camera with no issue.
Red cable & yellow cable (ignition wire) to the TB green cable box.
Black cable to black cable box.
White cable left unconnected.
The green light keeps flashing.
Turn on the ignition and after 5 seconds the camera comes on and works away.
Switch off the ignition and after 5 seconds the camera goes off.
The issue is that 90% of the time I see the green light start to fade and then go off.
When I turn the ignition on again the green light will not come on and of course the camera will not turn on.
If I disconnect the battery connection and reconnect the TB will start flashing again and start the camera with no problems.
But again I see the green light fade and will not continue to flash on the 2nd attempt.
The camera will again not come on.
I’ve tried this 4 times now and it connects the first attempt, but the 2nd attempt the green light does not come on.
I’m a bit lost at present with this issue.
Can you assist please?

Hi Scott,
Unfortunately I am not familiar with the Thunderbox. Do you perhaps have a link to a manual?
‘I see the green light start to fade and then go off’, do you mean the green LED of the K6 or of the Thunderbox?
When you turn on the ignition, is there voltage on the yellow wire? Can you measure that?
If you hold the yellow wire against the connection of the red wire, does the K6 turn on, so you are bridging the Thunderbox for a moment. -
Hi, here is the Thunderbox manual. It is a distribution box that enables you to add additional electrical items easily.
It just appears it’s not letting me switch the innovv K6 as I turn the ignition on/ off.

The green light is on the thunderbox.
I’ll go on their website and ask the question.
The K6 works OK by itself, I just wanted it to go off/ on when the ignition is switched off / on.

Hi Scott,
I suspect that it is going wrong because the red and yellow wires are powered at the same time when the Thunderbox is turned on. You will have to connect the K6 so that the red wire is continuously powered and the yellow wire only gets power when the ignition is turned on. So only connect the yellow wire to the green wire of the Thunderbolt.
