If the system is set on a time lapse setting does that dictate the settings if you use the remote to protect a section of recording?

Doing long distances (welcome to Australia) there is often a need to compress the riding time sonits leas boring but when you cone across a section of road that needs real time it would be fantastic if the dedicated remote record wasn’t at time lapse

    Hi Tony,
I don’t know if the protect function also works with time lapse. I would say ‘trial and error’ to test it yourself once.
By the way, I would choose to record everything in normal mode for long periods of time and later create a time-lapse with a video editing program. The advantage is that you can edit your original recording and not miss any frames. You also have the complete audio recording with it. I also don’t know if the GPS data is recorded with a time-lapse recording. With a time-lapse recording, fewer frames are recorded and you can therefore just miss the split-second recording. With a 256GB card you can record for many hours. If necessary, take an extra SD card with you to change on the go.
