  • Too many files in the DCIMAccident folder

    Hi Hans,

On my K16GT, I have the
    INNOVV K5 system.

On the SD card, I have
far too many files in the DCIM\Accident folder.

    What should I change so
that there aren’t so many files in this Accident folder?

    Is it in the settings,
    for the Option (gravity sensor)?

    Thank you in advance
    for your help.

    Please see the
    attachment

    Have a nice day.

    Hi Michel,
Your attachment wasn’t added; something went wrong there 😟.
The sensitivity for the accident videos depends on the G-sensor setting and where the K5 is mounted on the bike.
I have the G-sensor set quite low. In exceptional cases, I rarely get an accident video.
I mounted the K5 in front of the oil cooler on my K1600GT (2018). Next to the K5, you can also see the K3 camera.

    Hi Hans

    Thanks for your message.

I set the bar to 2, as in the attachment. I’ll lower it to 1.

Then I’ll test it as soon as it stops raining to take the bike out and let you know.

Just for my own information, which is the best dashcam: V5, V6, or V7?

What’s the best app for using videos (shortening videos, cutting out certain scenes, etc.)?

    Have a nice day.

    Hi Michel,
You might still get accident videos. This is because the front fender can hit the K5 when you go over a bump. This could also be the cause of the many accident recordings. I initially mounted the K5 in the same location, but I could see from the fender (small scratches on the black part) that it sometimes hit the K5. That’s why I’ve moved my K5 to a different location.
The Innovv cameras are all good. The only question is which one you prefer for image quality and ease of use/editing options.
For video editing, you can use Kdenlive. It’s freeware and (almost) professional-grade. It does have a bit of a learning curve. You can download it here: http://www.kdenlive.org

    Hans,

    Thanks for your message.

If I move my DVR, I’ll have to remove the grid and reroute the wires, which becomes a bit complicated to redo.

    Thanks for the Video app.

I’ll do a test with just one bar.

Thanks for everything, and have a nice day.
