Hi, after a few too many close passes I’m looking at dual camera system for my electric cargo bike.

The K6 with a USB powerbank would work well as an option but I would love the extra features of the K7… if it is possible to wire it in to the battery. The Shimano battery is 36v but there is a 12v positive and negative connection for the lights (we alway have them on).

Does anyone know if it would be possible to wire *both* the red and yellow ACC cable to this positive connection? And the black to the negative.

There would be no power to the cameras at all if the battery is turned off – does that matter? Does the system fully reset each time?

Any help would be grateful, otherwise it’ll be the K6

Think I’ve found my answer on another post. As I understand, the constant live is needed to avoid video files not closing properly and corrupting the memory card. Darn.

    Hi Luke,
You can switch the red wire if you switch the yellow wire first, for example, by connecting a switch to the yellow wire. Once you’ve properly shut down the K7 with this switch and it turns off after about 25 seconds, you can then disconnect the red wire from the power supply.
When starting, first power up the red wire and then power up the yellow wire again through the switch.
