Hi Sean,
A small backup battery is soldered into the K2. It could be that capacity is decreasing.
If you are technically handy and can handle a soldering iron, you can replace it yourself.
As far as I know, this is not a common weakness. I do not recognize the complaints with other Innovv models. Could you please give me a link where this is stated.
I had a similar complaint with my own K2. But that only happened because I had stretched a tyrap too tight over the button on the DVR while mounting the DVR unit. As a result, a kind of factory reset was always performed. The button of your K2 is not clamped/pressed?
Another cause may be that the battery capacity of your motorcycle becomes poor. When starting the motorcycle, a lot of power is required. If your battery is deteriorating, a large voltage dip may occur that can cause current or current in the K2.Can you power the K2 with a USB power bank? Disconnect the power module before connecting the USB powerbank. If the K2 settings are retained, the cause is not the K2’s backup battery.
With a USB power bank power supply connected, you can switch the K2 on and off using the button on the DVR unit.
