I tested the battery life of my H5 today. The test temperature was 2 degrees.
The settings used are:- Wifi timer: 3 minutes
- Video resolution: 4K 30P 3840×2160
- Bitrate: high
- Recording time: 1 minute
- EIS image stabilization: enabled
- Audio recording volume: 2
With the above settings, I was able to record for over 2.5 hours with a battery from July 2022. The original battery capacity in 2022 was over 5.5 hours at 20 degrees Celsius.
As Frostie confirms, the battery capacity drops significantly in cold weather.
In addition, the settings used also affect the battery capacity. The higher the resolution and bitrate, the harder the processor has to work and therefore will require more power.
The age of the battery also has an influence, the older the battery, the less the capacity will be.
If the battery capacity is too short for you, you can purchase a second battery or purchase the portable power interface and power the H5 with a power bank.
