Well that’s a major flaw on INNOVV’s part.

So hoped this would be a work around. I am on 4.3.8 386. Tried this today but the problem remained.

Odd how it seems to be INNOVV and MRA. Other GPS apps behave normal, as does MRA with other brands of hardware and Android Auto.

I am guessing that the video driver or chip needs consideration in the MRA software programming.

    Thanks.

The Cardo is using the phone channel to the phone. GPS channel is unused. I will try the other way around tomorrow to see if it changes the outcome.

    Thanks.

I am an N1 user (non-Pro) and Android. MRA/Android Auto/INNOVV don’t play well together – I believe this is more MRA development than AA or INNOVV.

I have used the INNOVV with iPhone as a workaround for a tour, which it did crash a few times – to the extent I stopped using it (MRA).

The INNOVV itself does a dance between Bluetooth and WiFi, which I have never resolved the connection for the microphone (so saying “hey Google” doesn’t work – which would be nice.

I run the INNOVV of a Canbus, which works OK, but means that if you stall or when you start, the INNOVV does a restart (and sometimes hangs). But the Chigee on a BMW does the same (without hanging).

I still use MRA for route planning (at home), but transfer it to Kurviger for the INNOVV. While this is a subscription app, it (so far) has remained stable and works with the INNOVV/AA.

I have a call with MRA for the MRA/INNOVV display issue (Android) for nearly a year but so far they have not resolved, but do keep developing both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

    Thanks for the reply.

The odd thing is that if the head unit had a setting that looked for 5 seconds loss of power before making a shutdown decision it would make more sense. Without this the unit switches off permanently (even if the bike is running) and will not return to life unless I set the crash setting to trigger – then I can slap the head unit to bring it back to life. However this is not desirable.

I have a BWM F900XR. Forums talk (not specific to INNOVV) of cutting into the brake light wire from the loom, which is undesirable. There is a small fuse box under the seat with two micro fuses which may be an option, but not sufficient space for a fuse spur.

Thanks for adding to the conversation Herman. The INNOVV unit (in settings) has no bluetooth pairing mode. By default it connects to the phone, first via bluetooth, then WiFi.

The unit has a microphone on/off setting. In either position it takes the microphone away from Cardo.

At this time the INNOVV is not powerful: it is a chocolate tea pot.
