It seems the water inside the camera was the issue. Fortunately, there wasn’t enough to damage the front cam. I’ll be monitoring it to ensure proper function. I’m considering making a protective cover to shield it from direct rain exposure.

I mounted it on the handlebars of my Honda CB350 H’ness. Unfortunately, I can’t share a photo right now since the entire system is currently disassembled

Yes, the rubber seal looks well. After drying, the camera appears to be working fine, but I think I’ll need to reposition it to avoid direct exposure to heavy rain.

As Adam mentioned, the LED behavior is correct: blinking blue when ACC is ON and solid blue when OFF. However, I recently discovered a bit of water inside the front camera—specifically near the Type-C port and SD card slot. Turns out the K6 isn’t as waterproof as I expected. Right now, I’m trying to dry it out with a fan (AC/DC) and will leave the cam in rice afterward.

    Hi,

Thank you for your detailed questions. Here’s my current status:

    1. Yellow Wire Connection: I confirmed the yellow wire is properly connected to a switched-mode power supply, which appears to be functioning normally.

    2. Power Supply Check: Both the red and black wires show correct voltage, and all connectors are dry, well-insulated, and securely attached.

    3. Blue LED Behavior:

    – Ignition OFF: Solid blue light

    – Ignition ON/Engine Running: Blinking blue light

    4. Firmware: Successfully performed a reset and reloaded the latest firmware.

    5. Recording Issue: The dashcam continues to record intermittently (power cycles on/off unexpectedly).

Pending: I’ll review Andyh’s additional suggestions later today and update my diagnosis accordingly.

I’m having the same issue – my dashcam won’t shut down properly. It worked fine at first, but after two months it started failing and stopped auto-shutting off. The tricky part is that I bought it on Amazon US but I live in Costa Rica, so dealing with warranty claims might be a real hassle.
