I also have had exactly the same problem – more than once now!

I had my previous K7’s DVR replaced under warranty after it did exactly as you describe – went from working perfectly to not powering off even when the yellow trigger wire was disconnected from a power source.

Now, after a year of working perfectly, my replacement K7 DVR is doing the same – although this time it sometimes switches off, then miraculously powers back on again even with the yellow trigger wire disconnected.

I have contacted Innovv support again to check the replacement is also covered by warranty (it’s less than a year old). I have also asked if they found out why the previous unit had gone faulty.

As a matter of interest, what bike did you have yours fitted to?

Mine was fitted to my 2019 R1250GS and the yellow trigger wire was connected to a DIN plug put in the bike’s socket (which is powered off a short time after the bike’s ignition) – disconnecting the plug doesn’t seem to shut the unit down (it did originally!).
