Member2025-10-11 at 15:47 in reply to: Few things: save screenshot, timestamp, slow blinking cameraI am happy to say that most of the problems were solved… INNOVV sent me a new remote that doesn’t have the problem with button being stuck, the slow blinking light happens when accessing media, and the only issue is timestamps, but that I can live with.
Thank you for assistance.

I’ve contacted Innovv and showed them the video. I will receive replacement remote that will, hopefully, solve the problem.
I’ll post when it arrive and after I test it.

Member2025-09-18 at 02:36 in reply to: Few things: save screenshot, timestamp, slow blinking cameraMe again… after a couple of rides, I think I know why the unit did a factory reset (it happened several times during rides when I tried to screenshot). The remote unit seems to have a problem with button being stuck if pressed in a certain way. I’ve included the video. The intermittent issue with time metadata comes and goes. I reconnected the yellow wire to the rear light, so that wasn’t the issue. Can you please check and advise what to do? Or should I send an email directly to Innovv?

Member2025-09-14 at 20:24 in reply to: Few things: save screenshot, timestamp, slow blinking cameraThe card is type V30 (specifically for action cameras) and was formatted using the K7. I’ve disabled the G sensor and parking mode. So only “normal” recording is in use. I’ve observed the periodic slow blinking when accessing the footage while system is recording (and it is recording, I’ve checked). I don’t have a problem with it, just it would be nice to have a entry in the manual if that is the reason for it. For me, the wonky metadata timestamp is a more serious issue. As for the voltage, the system is working all the time I was riding – the filenames and timestamp on the video are good, just funny it would decide the screw up the metadata for the recorded video. My bike has all OEM sockets which are activated when I turn the contact key (the engine doesn’t need to run) and when turning the key off the sockets stay powered for 30 seconds after. If there were problem with voltage, K7 would have gaps between videos… and there were none (other when I apparently did a factory reset with remote – which I’m still unsure how I did it).

Member2025-09-14 at 23:53 in reply to: Few things: save screenshot, timestamp, slow blinking cameraSince the red & black are connected directly to the battery, as per manual, I presume the main power to the K7 is “always on”? How can the red and yellow wire be switched on at the same time, since the red is always hot? The yellow wire is on the switched power supply, so they cannot be turned off or on at the same time because one is constantly on the battery and other one is switched on with key. I fail to see the reasoning of this direction of the thread when I stated the system worked properly for over 6 hours yesterday, with several stops. Only REAL problem I have is with file metadata which is jumping several hours behind and then fixing itself a some hour later (during the continuous ride). The filenames have the correct name (date+time), the timestamp on the video itself is ok only the metadata is wonky. The GPS signal is strong and steady, and only time there was a gap in the videos is when I, apparently, did a factory reset with remote (I’ll take the blame for this one if it makes it easier on everyone). Like I said, I did get the system up an running in the first go, so like I said, no complains about the manual, only observations (and most of them cosmetic). Besides timestamp metadata, I just would like to know why the camera icon is slow flashing, because there is no entry in the manual about that (and I think it happens when I access the recorder via app).
I have spent some time playing with the system, and I think I can show when exactly (and why) the slow blink is occuring.
See attached video; system starts up, begins recording automatically… all good. As soon I connect my (android) phone and open file browser, you can see the icon slow flashing. When I exit the app, the flashing stops and camera led returns to normal (on) state. Every time I enter the file browser on the app (or settings for that matter), the icon slow blinks every 2 seconds. You can also see the double click fail and success for the screenshot… I’ll stay away from screenshot, I’ll use the single press from now on (and later take the screenshot from the video).
It would be nice to mention the slow blink in the manual, so not to confuse people. I’ve searched the forum, and haven’t found any mention about it.
I have to mention, during the ride, I’ve started the app for a couple of times to check if the system is working (and to annoy my friend behind on how he’s cutting corners), and I did notice the blinking, but like I said, it was my maiden voyage with K7 and never paid much attention to it.
Now, only problem that bothers me is the timestamps.
