I am new to K7 but my background is IT
– you can configure the k7 to broadcast a WiFi HotSpot for 5 or 10 minutes or always on. When it does, your phone can connect (wi-fi) to the k7 WireLess Network to be able to do what you want ( change settings, access files, watch live feed (Cams) etc).
– once configured, you don’t need at all to stay connected to the k7 WiFi Network…. BTW it’s not using internet…. It’s a private Wireless network to make communication between the app and your DVR unit possible
– if you don’t want a HotSpot under your but, you can set it to only broadcast 5 minutes.
– yes the k7 keeps the settings the last time you configured it
You can get your picts or video using the app ( longer… For now I was not able to…) or by removing the SD Card.

To make you smile, I though : ” shit ! Bob is driving in the wrong lane / direction “LOL
half a second later I laughed ( back cam LOL )

Tks Bob. WIll make some more tests.
I guess you are using the 2k resolution ?
Will also test 1080 with image stabilization
-
I will make some test with the 1080 resolution with Image stabilization… We’ll see how it goes

OK I found !
We need to ” reverse ” the order of the numbers provided in the recording ( coordinates encoding)
And
add a minus ” – ” in front on the second number.
Example :
45.628020284089,-74.60758273159288
The info encoded in the video is : 74.60758273159288 45.628020284089

Just got this from Innov
“Hi friend,
You don’t need to keep the wifi connection all the time.
The disconnection and connection of wifi will not effect the recording function.
Best regards,
Jelly”

Not yet but but my eMail to them is recent. 6 hours time zone difference or more… DO not know who repond.
I did a ride today to test other resolution 1080 30fps wioth EIS ( stabilization) and 1080 60fps.
And my K7 just ran with the config I set it to… Didn’t connected to it.
On my way back for fun, I connected to the K7 DVR and open the App and launched the Live Rear Cam View / full Screen
It’s was like some kind of ” Live – Cam Back View Mirror ” LOL Distracting but fun

Here is a 1st example, I’ll find another another one in a few minutes. THis one, the motorcycle in the back (back cam) were just behind me. So we can see we see the Car license plate (not perfect but we can see it), Will provide another example where the car is close and we can’t
